Activities include esearch training courses organized by the
partners, either independently or as joint actions, summer or winter
schools, as well as networking meetings where doctoral students and
supervisors can meet and network.
Methods and approaches in STEM education research course on Fall 2016
STEAM-LET students can participate in the Methods and approaches in STEM education research course at Helsinki University which starts on September 8th 2016. More information here.
Writing retreat in Porvoo, 22-24.8.2016
The retreat will allow you to focus on writing a paper, proposal, thesis text, with support both from peers, supervisors and language tutors.
Students have an opportunity to work on their manuscript for three days and get feedback from supervisors. A scientific writing teacher provides some writing tips and guidelines for participants, as well as individual feedback of students' texts.

The retreat will allow you to focus on writing a paper, proposal, thesis text, ... with support both from peers, supervisors and language tutors.
Students have an opportunity to work on their manuscript for two days and get feedback from supervisor. On Friday Professor Eija Kärnä from University of Eastern Finland will give a talk about how to write multidisciplinary research project grant – a topic that might interest many supervisors also. In addition, we are planning on inviting scientific writing teacher to provide some writing tips and guidelines for participants.

Winter school 2014
16-17.12.2014
Winter school in 2014 will be arranged at University of Tampere, School of Education, on December 16th-17th. The school focuses on research design and reliability and trustworthiness issues in research. For more information and registrations, see here.

Summer schools
2-3.6.2014
Summer school in 2014 will be arranged at University of Helsinki,
Department of Teacher Education on
June 2nd-3rd in collaboration with the SEDUCE
network. The school will include methodological tutorials as
well as workshops where doctoral student can present and discuss their
research in collaboration with their peers and other supervisors.
